Literacy Quebec’s Helpline was designed to support Quebec’s English Community members who are experiencing challenges during COVID-19 related to their literacy and digital literacy skills. Literacy skills include the ability to read, to write and to access information online at the level required to complete tasks daily (i.e. finding and ordering goods and/or services online) or occasionally (i.e. completing forms for government programs).
Many people feel disconnected during these challenging times – those with literacy struggles may feel especially isolated and unable to connect with the resources they need in person due to the closure of community places they would normally visit.
