Join us for a Legal Informative Session with Éducaloi, whose mission is to inform Quebecers about their legal rights and responsibilities. During this online webinar, Éducaloi will respond to questions about the Quebec legal system. In the presentation, they will cover topics such as:
- English rights in the judicial system (can I have service in English?)
- What is small claims court? Do I need a lawyer or can I represent myself?
- What is needed for eligibility in order to obtain legal aid services?
- What to do when receiving a ticket? (parking, jaywalking, etc.).
Join our informative online session designed to help individuals navigate the Quebec legal system. Whether you’re new to a process, feeling overwhelmed, or looking for some legal assistance, this session will provide clear guidance, practical tips and answers to your questions, all from the comfort of your home.
This workshop is open to Literacy Quebec members and their learners, volunteers, and the general public. This workshop is part of the Community Mobilization Project, a collaboration with Éducaloi to provide free legal information workshops to learners, staff, and the general public.
For any questions, please contact Elayne at [email protected]
This workshop is made possible with the financial support of the Secrétariat aux relations avec les Québécois d’expression anglaise.
